From 11th – 15th April 2016, Tim McCarthy (CEO, EPG Engines) and Phil Waltl (OEM Manager, EPG Engines) travelled to China to attend the 2016 Kohler Asia Pacific Distributor Conference.
This Conference was held in Chongqing, Southwest China, and was attended by Kohler Central Distributors from China, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Myanmar and New Zealand. Employees from both the Singapore and American Management team were also represented at the Conference.
Mr James Zhang (Managing Director, Kohler China) hosted the Conference and gave a presentation on the Kohler Company, new products and plans for the future. Cam Litt (Small Frame Engines Manager, Kohler USA) and Justin Blount (Portable Generator and Pumps Manager, Kohler USA) also presented and gave updates on their product lines.
Tim McCarthy was asked to speak and gave a presentation on EPG Engines and its dealer network. A highlight of the conference was when EPG Engines was awarded Best Asia Pacific Kohler Diesel Sales 2015, which was proudly received by Tim McCarthy on behalf of the EPG Engines team.
Once business was complete, the Kohler Management team arranged a tour of Chongqing City for the delegates, which included a trip on the cable car across the Yangtze River, a city tour and a visit to the Palace and museum.
