Leak Test On Gas Engines
It should be noted that the typical soap bubble leak test on the gas components of gas engines and generators can cause long term leakages if the soap residue is not washed off with clear water after each soap bubble test.
Permanent soap residue can cause porosity to brass and other metals over a period of time. Hence it is important to wash off the soap residue with clear water after each soap bubble test to extend the longevity of the gas engine.
