Component marking for correct reallocation
The typical stamping, scribing, or felt pen marking of dismantled engine components is often troublesome as it may damage the components or the markings can come off during cleaning or buffing.
Cable ties are a quick and safe way to mark components. Every part that comes off cylinder 1, gets one cable tie and every part that comes off cylinder 2, gets two cable ties, and so on.
